I'm back!
I've written countless posts before now but haven't felt that they were of a good enough standard to actually post, so I decided to start nice and easy with another tag. I hope I start doing more regular blogs, but with GCSEs and such going on its so hard to find the time!

Probably some DIY from like 2009, but I only really got into it a couple of years ago!

I remember subscribing to MacBarbie and Zoella on the same day, and they were my first two ever:)

Sadly, no. But I wish I did

Apart from having sips of wine here and there, my first proper one was a Long Island Iced Tea in New York!

Not exactly sure what to write here, um, it started at the start of year 9 and went on until the start of year 10:') (in normal school timings starting in September, but our school is messed up and so we move up a year in June?)

Thats it for now folks, I'm a little stuck for ideas for what to write about, I feel like if I write about things such as school/travel that people won't read it, but I don't want it to be all boring tags and beauty either (although there hopefully will be a lot more beauty related things soon!)

New new beginnings

Hi again all,

  So sorry for my lack of posts recently, I've had a major shortage of motivation to come up with ideas that are good enough. I've written countless posts, but when I've read over them, I just feel like they aren't quite good enough and delete them. Also, I've recently realised that there is nothing special about my blog, that makes it stand out from any other 'beauty blog' that has ever been written. The content is similar to beauty blogs everywhere, and I realised, who would choose to read my blog, over professional's that have been writing for years!

  I've come to the conclusion, that I won't waste my time writing blog posts that are of an okay quality, and that I don't mind writing, because they are the type of blogs that become extremely tiresome and boring over time. I'm going to try a new approach on blogging, one that makes it much more enjoyable for me, as the author, and hopefully much more interesting for you as the readers.

  Now I haven't exactly come up with any certain plans yet, but I just know that I would like to do something along the lines of writing about my every day life, things I love and hate, my dreams and aspirations for the future, as well as adventures and travels I've previously been on. I will 100% defiantly be adding lots of beauty/fashion/interior things too, but I can assure you, they will ALL be much more personal and consequently (and hopefully) much more interesting for all!

  I guess I'll try to stick to a somewhat schedule, but definitely not a proper 'new posts every sunday' type thing, as I'm going into my first year of GCSE's and I can assure you, I'll be very stressed and busy lots of the time. Hopefully, if all my organisation and planning works out, I'll have more time to do my own things than last year. (Basically, I rewarded myself wayy too many breaks and that resulted in starting homework the night before, at about 11.30, whilst watching YouTube at the same time! I mean, I always did my homework, just not to the best of my ability as it was almost certainly always rushed. The only subject that I can honestly say I enjoyed doing was art. I could get lost in a world of photographs, paints, pencils and paper of hours on end, and not once crave Made in Chelsea (my latest obsession) or YouTube (a chronic, ongoing disorder that I've tried for months to treat, with no positive results)

   So anyway, I guess thats all for now, but I will definitely be seeing the mango-orange of Blogger much more than before. I just feel like in my previous blog posts I was putting on a mask, and restricting the things I wrote so that they would be 'appropriate' for a beauty blog like my own. But nope, I am much more comfortable writing things that really do come from the heart (urgh I'm making myself sick with all these little inspirational things). This style of writing comes naturally to me, I don't have to think to much about what I'm writing, it just happens, and I really do enjoy it. And quite frankly, I'm sure there will be many of you who don't like the style of blog I write, and thats okay, its not like the amount of followers I have really does effect me and my life in any way, so yeah, stay for a while and read if you like, if not then don't, just close down the page and get back to your lives, erase this out of your mind completely. You won't have to ever think about this again (until you see my name and face pasted across massive billboards in Times Square, when my blog one day makes me the most famous person in the world, that even the most unsociable people who live under rocks and without internet, who only leave their dark caves when going out hunting for berries and water in the wilderness know my name (wow, now THAT was a ramble and a half!) so yeah, I'll eat my hat if that day ever comes).

40 Beauty Questions TAG

So I have loads of big blog ideas, but they all take time to write, review and perfect. I don't want to only post once a week, so to fill in the gaps, Im going to start doing regular smaller posts, like tags, reviews and anything else that isn't too time consuming. (If anyone would be kind enough to request, that would be amazing please please please ey?:))) 

Anyway, on with the show! Here are 40 facts about my skincare/makeup, voila!

How many times do you wash your face daily?

Usually once, either in the morning or evening, depends when I have time. Sometimes, on the rare occasion that I actually can be bothered, I'll do it twice, but who am I kidding, that probably only happens once every 2 months maybe?

What skin type do you have? (dry, oily or combination)

Mostly oily, but in some areas it gets very dry, so possibly oily-combination?

What is your current facial wash?

Neutrogena, Visibly Clear, spot stress control, daily scrub 

Do you exfoliate?

Well not as much as I should, but my facewash ^^ is sorta like an exfoliator, so yano..

What brand do you use?

Well if my face wash counts, then Neutrogena

What moisturiser do you use? 

Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion in the mornings, and Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream (for combination to oily skin)  in the evening. 
The only reason I use two is because the Benefit one is light enough to wear in the day under foundation and powder, but I feel the garner one is too thick to use and it makes my skin appear oilier. However, in the long term, it actually makes my skin less oily, so I still like to use it at night.

Do you have freckles?

YES -.- 

Do you use eye cream?

I do, the Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack, although it isn't very good and so I'm looking to purchase a new one soon. Any recommendations??

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

Fortunately no, I hope i haven't just jinxed that :'(

I'm not totally sure, but I'd say I'm more warm than cool?

Never really tried them, but they seem like effort. (urgh effort)

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?

I did, but honestly, who actually sticks by that rule? I'm sure not many teenagers with no money repurchase £20+ mascaras 4 times a year. So yeah I knew that, but have never stuck by it, and have never seen any problems with my eyes or mascara quality so far:)

hahaha, thats funny. I wish :'(

What make-up tools do you use in make-up application?

Real Techniques mostly, and I use Kiko & Co and Urban Decay eyeshadow eyeshadow brushes. I'm also planning on getting a few Mac brushes for my birthday O.o

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Yep, the Urban Decay primer potion, its LIFE.

For the face?

Um that is NOT okay. I can't choose, but probably neutrals, like the Naked Basics, but I also ADORE the Naked3

How often do you poke your eyes with an eye liner pencil?
Actually not that often:')

What do you think of pigment eye shadows?
I've only tried BareMinerals ones, and they are amazing:O 

Do you use mineral make-up? 
Only very rarely when I steal the BareMinerals things from my mum:')

What is your favourite lipstick?

MAC Dubonette (I don't actually own this YET but its a.m.a.z.i.n.g and beautiful) or MAC Angel, or possibly Rimmel Kate Moss 107. All are amazing:O 

How about lip gloss?

What is your favourite blush?

Nyx Cream Blush in Boho Chic
but I REALLY want Nars Sex Appeal

Do you buy make-up on e-bay?

Nope, and I will never after my friend had a very bad experience with counterfeit products from there.

Do you like drug store make-up?

I do, but prefer High-End, and don't mind splashing the cash a bit for a good quality product.

Do you go to CCO's? (Cosmetic Company Outlets)

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

I would love too, but maybe when I'm older:)

Are you clumsy in putting on make-up?
Sometimes, depends on how much of a rush I'm in.

Name a make-up crime that you hate?

Not blending foundation or concealer in properly, and too much powder, oh and horrible eyebrows -.-

Do you like colourful shades of make-up (lipstick, eye shadow) or neutral tones?

I love bold lipsticks and neutral eyeshadows.

Which celebrity always has great make-up?
Nina Nesbitt, and all the YouTubers like Zoe, Tanya, Louise, Bethany.

If you could leave the house with just ONE Make-up item, what would you use?

Concealer

Could you ever leave the house without any make-up on?
No, I always at least have concealer and mascara on.

Do you think you look good even without any make-up on?

nope nope nope

In your opinion, what is the BEST make-up line?

MAC probably, I don't know, different brands are the best for different things I guess.

What do you think of Make-up?
I suppose you could say its my hobby, its one of my favourite things to buy and do, and I don't know, its just amazing. And I try to explain to my family why I need so much makeup, and Its so hard, they don't understand that that is what I love to do, and enjoy, and urgh effort.

New York Haul

      Okay, so now you know a little about me, let's get down to what my blog is really about.
 Beauty and Fashion.
      Last week a went to The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps, The City, Hong Kong on the Hudson, NYC, New York, whatever you want to call it, I went there. And I suppose you could say I did a tiny bit of damage in the shops...
    Now before all of you get so offended and annoyed, I am NOT bragging in any way at all, I merely just wanted to share with you what I bought on holiday. Most of the items shown are ones that I have seen in beauty guru's videos and wanted for ages, so finally when I visited the USA I was in heaven and bought as many of the things I've been dreaming of :D oh and also, I'm not sponsored by any companies (haha I wish) :')

I know we have American Apparel here in the UK, but unfortunately, none close to where I live, so when I came across a store in Soho, Manhattan, I HAD to go in. Everything there was to die for, and I wanted everything I tried on, however, it was nearing the end of the day, and my parents were getting tired and impatient, so I didn't have as much time as I wanted in there :'( I felt like I had found a shop that was my style, and had clothes that I genuinely love, instead of clothes that everyone else likes, which don't really suit me or my personality (like New Look, which is a very popular store within my school, and if there's one thing that you have that you like from there, chances are, lots of others have the exact same thing, and I don't like that), however, New Look is a lot cheaper than the shops that I do like, so thats sad:(The two items I purchased were ones that I had wanted for literally ages! The tennis skirt is soo pretty and different, but is also quite short and flawy, so not to be worn on a breezy night (I learned this the hard way..)
   Of course, the bow is beautiful and can be worn in so many ways. You can place it on top of a ponytail, a messy bun, a side plait or a half-up half-down style, and it looks perfect whichever way you wear it, and for any occasion (except swimming, that would be silly).

   I've wanted a black leather jacket for the longest time now, and a few shops before Hollister, I went into Tommy Hilfiger and tried one on, but it just didn't look right (and was around $400, so nah). But when I found this one, it was perfect, and so much cheaper than the other one I'd seen :')

   I'll only write a bit about each of these as have probably bored you all to sleep with the long American Apparel description:') 
   The Covergirl powder seems really good so far, but have only tried it once. It seems to last a while, isn't too cakey, and gives a good amount of coverage, but the smell is horrible! Will not be using this early in the morning or if I'm feeling ill:')
   The Nyx blush is so nice, and quite sheer, but gives the perfect amount of colour to cheeks or a subtle, everyday look.
   The Jumbo Eye Pencil is easily blendable and perfect for the inner corners

   The Lip Butter is so lovely, gives off a good amount of colour but isn't too noticeable on the lips, perfect for every day. However, it is quite sticky so the night I wore it, my hair kept getting stuck to it :/

   Brandy Melville is one of my all time favourite shops, I think it suits my style perfectly. Everything there is so cue, and I just wish there were more stores in the UK. The Bruna shorts are like pyjamas, so comfy and cute! I purchased them because walking around Manhattan in the boiling sun all day in black skinny jeans is not great, I'm sure my legs were burning through the material! Anyway, I was practically dying wearing them, so needed to give my legs a little breather:') (plus it was the perfect excuse to buy more Brandy)
   The top was bought for sorta the same reasons, it seemed like a perfect all-seasons top. You can wear it in the summer, because its so loose, and you can also wear it in winter with a cardigan or jacket over it and jeans.
   The socks are just so sweet and pretty I couldn't resist, and a girl can never have too many socks right?;)

The Carrie Diaries

 This is a bit of a weird blog post, but I feel like a part has been ripped out of me. I don't know if it's a normal thing, or if I'm the only sad teenager who gets overly attached to things for a short while and then when it leaves my life, I feel I have no purpose and have absolutely nothing to do. I've been searching frantically on numerous different sites for any slight chance of this perfect thing re-entering my life any time soon, but with no luck.

This thing that is so special to me is...

The Carrie Diaries.

Now if you have watched this show, you will understand that you can easily get caught up in the people's lives. Every plot is so believable and usually quite relatable too. Carrie is just an ordinary suburban girl with a dream of making it big in New York. All her problems with work, school, friends and family are so, I don't even know, just wow.
And Sebastian Kydd is just O.o
When he and Carrie fought, it bought tears to my eyes, but nothing was as bad as coming off a FaceTime call to watch the last 2 minutes of an episode, going back onto the website to watch the next episode and releasing that there were no more. Heartbreaking.
 This definitely isn't the first time this has happened to me, it seems like every few months my life revolves around a new series. I spend my whole day lying in bed watching, and staying up until 3am 'just watching one more episode'. When it finishes I go into a deep depression for months, I feel lost and alone, my own life and friends are nowhere near as special as the ones I made watching the programme. (Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but I'm sure some of you understand).

Other series that came to mind which have had the same effect on me were;

Gavin and Stacy
Broadchurch
and I'm sure many more, but maybe my mind has blanked them out because revisiting the memory of the pain is just too much for me to handle.

And the award for the most boring and pointless blog post that I'm sure no one will actually read goes to 'The Carrie Diaries' by Kate Murphy!:D
